A STORY,
A MISSION.

IN THE SERVICE
OF HOPE.

A team,
A family,
Values
Founded in 1980 under the initiative of Prince Albert II, the group "Munegu Autu," later renamed "Barbagiuans of Monaco," initially represented an unofficial football team that brought together some of the Sovereign's friends.
The goal?
To travel to the four corners of the world, both for charitable endeavors and for the simple love of football.
Today, we are an association that seeks to unite former Monaco football stars as well as other personalities connected to the Principality, all under one jersey. This is all led by our president, Louis Ducruet, and with the support of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

THE BARBAGIUANS
IT IS ABOVE ALL ...
A big family
“Talking about the Barbagiuans always stirs something special in me. We were a close group of friends who were eager to come together for a match from time to time. Today, I am delighted to see the Barbagiuans working for noble causes with this new generation, made up primarily of former players, and I know that the spirit of the Barbagiuans is still very much alive. Viva Munegu!”
H.S.H. Prince Albert II, Monaco
After more than 40 years of existence, the “Barbagiuans of Monaco” team continues to fulfill its development goals daily. Today, it brings together more than sixty members. Among them are key figures in Monegasque football (Didier Deschamps, Ludovic Giuly, SĂ©bastien Squillaci, Fernando Morientes…), alongside amateurs closely connected to Monaco. This intentional blend helps preserve the very essence of the “Barbagiuans” while adding value and a professional dimension through the presence of some iconic figures from the local football scene within the team.
