RACING STARS FOOTBALL CUP – 2025 EDITION
For over 35 years, the legendary “Driver’s Match,” organized by the Star Team MC, brought together the biggest names in international motorsport on the pitch of the Stade Louis-II. A true Monegasque tradition, this iconic charity event has notably welcomed the mythical Formula 1 figure Michael Schumacher on several occasions.
In 2025, the story continues… with a new name.
Les Barbagiuans Monaco, an association founded by H.S.H. Prince Albert II and passionately chaired for the past five years by his nephew Louis Ducruet, are taking over and launching the Racing Stars Football Cup, aiming to make it a must-attend international charity event.
The concept:
An exceptional match featuring:
-
Les Barbagiuans Monaco, with legends of professional football such as Javier Chevanton, Ludovic Giuly, Flavio Roma, Gaël Givet, Sébastien Squillaci, and Sébastien Frey, joined for the occasion by stars from music, comedy, cinema, combat sports, social media, and freestyle;
-
Versus the drivers’ team, made up of champions from F1, F2, F3, and iconic figures from motorsport.
Objective: Raise funds to support two deeply committed associations:
-
The Jules Bianchi Association, created after the tragic accident of the driver during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. After several months at the USCL (Unit for patients with Severe Brain Injuries) in Nice’s L’Archet hospital, Jules’ family recognized the importance of the care provided in such specialized units. Since his passing in 2015, the Association has worked to support the USCL, patients, and their families by funding innovative medical equipment to improve rehabilitation and care comfort (driving simulators, shower-beds, mirror therapy systems, hydro-molecular showers…). The Association keeps Jules’ memory alive through every action.
-
Be Safe Monaco, founded by Camille Gottlieb, fights against drunk driving and raises awareness among young people about responsible driving. Through its prevention campaigns, on-the-ground actions, and implementation of concrete solutions (such as developing night shuttles), the association works to save lives and promote a culture of safe returns.
Several celebrities are expected to join the Barbagiuans team alongside former professional footballers.
A charity match, a unique show, a festive and committed atmosphere.
The Racing Stars Football Cup continues the great sporting traditions of Monaco… with a touch of modernity, influence, and heart.
